Calabash Flat Amethyst Purple Glass Vase

Add a soft violet accent to your home with the Calabash Flat Vase in Amethyst by Lobmeyr. Its transparent purple glass, broad rounded body and gently cinched neck create a sculptural setting for fresh flowers, with stems and water visible through the subtly coloured glass.

The design draws inspiration from the calabash gourd, long used as a vessel and echoed in Baroque and ancient Chinese porcelain. Menschhorn reinterprets this distinctive silhouette through a two-step transformation, creating three Calabash vase shapes that work individually or as a group.

Style this low, rounded vase with pink blooms for a tonal arrangement, or contrast its amethyst tint with warm orange flowers. On a dining table, console or sideboard, its understated colour adds interest without competing with the bouquet.
