Hong Kong Homage Imperial Blue Ceramic Ginger Jar Lamp Base
Description
Bring Hong Kong's skyline into your home with the Hong Kong Homage Ginger Jar Lamp Base by The Ginger Jar Lamp Co. Imperial Blue artwork against white ceramic captures the city's buildings, subtropical details and Victoria Peak, with lanterns and auspicious symbols adding a nostalgic, whimsical touch.
The design is based on a specially commissioned watercolour by artist Fleur Kakasi. Made in Jingdezhen, China, the ceramic is decorated using a traditional transferware technique, with the illustration's outlines hand-finished in blue pigment. Brass fittings add a warm contrast to the blue-and-white jar.
Style the base on a console, bedside table or sideboard with a shade of your choice. A woven shade lends texture, while a simple fabric shade keeps the focus on the illustrated ceramic.
